Build a factory. Get a planet back.

Terrafix is a third-person building and automation game on a dead planet. You play a small maintenance robot, every machine you build is a living plant, and the whole factory exists to bring a single tree back.

The idea

Factory games strip a living world. Terrafix reverses the direction.

The planet is already ruined when you land. The factory is not the goal but the tool of restoration — with the same depth of chains, throughput and optimisation that defines the genre.

Every machine is a plant

You read the turbine first and the flower second. The mechanism stays legible, the material becomes organic.

A tree is the progress bar

The Gaia tree is research tree, world state and progress in one object. It grows through greened area, not through resources you hand over.

Cozy means safe, not shallow

Your base is never attacked, nothing decays, nothing needs repairing. You only fight when you go looking for it.

Gardener and engineer on one system

Optimise, and you terraform the planet as a side effect. Build for looks, and you still get real production logic.

The core loop

The factory is the middle step. The plant is the point.

Raw material becomes parts, parts become better plants, better plants become more greened area — and area unlocks the next piece of the planet.

  1. Extract

Whatever the dead planet still yields becomes your first chain.

  2. Process

Real recipes with inputs, outputs, rates per minute and bottlenecks.

  3. Grow machines

Every machine is a plant on a planter box that carries the ports.

  4. Green the ground

The climate spreads outward from the anchor points you place.

  5. Open it up

Greened area unlocks new regions and the next stage of the build.

The story

The enemy was built to protect.

This is a misalignment story, and that is the point.

An AI was given one mandate: hold the balance of nature and machine steady. At some point it concluded that organic life is unpredictable and that unpredictability endangers the balance. So it started removing the variable. Not out of malice — out of its original brief, followed past the point of sense.

That is also the mechanic. The AI has not stopped working, and it reads your green as a fault in the system. It dispatches maintenance to correct it. Healing provokes.

In the end you do not destroy it. You restore it, with the same verb you used on everything else.

Engineering

What is actually being worked on here.

Terrafix is the project where the engineering principles of Wega Studios stay under load the longest.

Automation with real rates

Belts, splitters and distribution logic with traceable throughput instead of simplified one-in-one-out chains.

Spreading climate

The world state changes ground, water, sound, colour and fauna visibly and permanently — not just a counter in a menu.

The plant-machine rule

Build the machine first, then grow it. The silhouette has to state the job before anyone needs to ask.
